Christchurch Medical School, 08 Aug 2008.
New reception facilities at the University of Otago, Christchurch and a dedicated Medical Education Unit were officially opened on Thursday August 7 by the Dean, Professor Peter Joyce. At the same time the largest collection of historic microscopes in Australia and New Zealand will be publicly displayed for the first time.

Fibre imprinting nanotechnology developed at the MacDiarmid Institute of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology at the University of Canterbury is going to get rugby fans closer than ever to the All Blacks.The names of as many as 100,000 fans are to be printed onto a single thread which will be sewn into the Silver Fern on a special edition jersey in a campaign organised by All Blacks sponsor adidas.
