Burst! The Festival of Flowers 2010

Christchurch, the Garden City of New Zealand, once again will host the Festival of Flowers from 19 February to 14 March, 2009.“Burst” The Festival of Flowers is an exciting, fun-filled celebration of gardens, plants and everything floral. Including; displays, music, food, storytelling, garden tours, photography, calligraphy, Ikebana, flax weaving, the New Zealand tree-climbing competition, and more!

Floral art exhibit captures the bursting out into flower

Efflorescence, the bursting out into flower, is the Moment in Time Christchurch floral designer Patricia Proctor will capture in her 2010 Ellerslie International Flower Show exhibit.Patricia, who won Gold at last year’s Ellerslie International Flower Show and a Silver lighting award, says she is not an historic person and did not want to look back in creating her exhibit for this year’s Show.

International artist debuts at Ellerslie Sculpture Garden exhibition

International ceramic artist Susan Higgs will debut her work in New Zealand at the Ellerslie International Flower Show’s Sculpture Garden exhibition this year.Higgs, who has recently moved to live in Rangiora (North Canterbury), has exhibited widely internationally and currently has an installation touring Europe.
